Pianist Antonio Adolfo creates a warm Brazilian breeze of sound with his bnad of Jesse Sadoc/tp-fh, Danilo Sinna/as, Mracelo Martins/ts-fl, Rafael Rocha/tb, Ricardo Silveira/g, Jorge Helder/b and Rafael Barata/dr on this upbeat collection of originals. The songs have a Jobim/Mendes feel to them, with velvety horns on the poppish “Pretty World” while their’s a hint of Dragnet on the noirish ‘Boogie Baiao”. His ivories dance on “Zabumbaiaa’ and gets moody on the TV theme “Teletema”. The horns create rich and lovely textures, like a Claus Obgerman procuciton on “ Heart of Brazil” and “Feito Em Casa”.
